20230119 – Mandurah Thursday

“Riot On Rum makes light work of box eight”

John Righetti trained sprinter Riot On Rum swept around his opponents to win tonight’s BetNFT.Run Country Novice. The daughter of Whiskey Riot had been out of the placings at her previous seven starts but looked well suited in tonight’s event. She was supported into a $2.90 fixed odds favourite and didn’t let her backers down. She found the lead before drawing clear late to score by two lengths in 23.07. The Kody Charles prepared I’m The General ran on nicely for second and another two lengths away third was the John Cole trained Early Worm. Riot On Rum has now started 23 times for 3 wins, 3 seconds and 4 thirds.

Race 2 Number 1 SWIMMING HOME : Recovered from a moderate jump to win her first Mandurah start in 17.33.

Race 3 Number 3 MARG’S DYNASTY : Railed strongly to upset race favourite On The Bogan and his time of 17.19 was good.
