“Coppy Nipper notches a training treble for Andrew McLaren”

Consistent short-courser Coppy Nipper took out tonight’s Holiday Coast Series Final over 302m by a small margin. The son of Fernando Bale grabbed the lead in the shadows of the post and secured victory by half a head in a smart time of 17.18. The speedy Jay’s Double set the pace before being pipped on the post and a length away third was race favourite Marlou Miss. Coppy Nipper was McLaren’s third winner of the night after Argyle Rose and Dido Belle won earlier, also over the 302m journey. Coppy Nipper is out of Bluey’s Fate who has produced some fine greyhounds including Jade’s Blade, Westdale Hailee, Westdale Ares, Super Blade and Sweet As Fate.

Race 1 Number 3 JACOPO : Improved at box rise and after finding the rail dashed away to win in a handy 17.35.

Race 6 Number 2 ROCCO : Mustered nicely before finishing second behind the talented Bundegi.
