“Global Elite powers to victory for Trevor Augustin”

Consistent sprinter Global Elite took advantage of ‘leading brigade interference’ at the top of the straight and soared down the outside to a solid victory. Trained by Trevor Augustin out of South Yunderup the son of Aston Dee Bee swung wide at the top of the straight which paid off handsomely, scoring by half a length in 17.38. Ella Keeping followed suit out deep on the course and finished second for Brad Cook and another half a length away third was the Phil Worthington prepared Flash As One. Global Elite took his career record to 37 starts for 5 wins and 15 minor placings.

Race 2 Number 4 BONBIE SAPPHIRE : Chased strongly to win narrowly.

Race 5 Number 5 SUNNYSIDE BOY : Zoomed to the front and scored by five lengths in 22.78 at his first appearance in WA.
