“Power Train improves sharply for Max Julien to win maiden”

Favourite backers in the first were left disappointed after Bundegi ($1.80) set the pace and was overtaken late by the Max Julien prepared Power Train. Power Train had failed to run a place at his first seven career starts and at his most recent outing was beaten 11 lengths at Cannington. This evening he settled second at the first turn and when Bundegi wobbled wide on straightening he dashed through on the inside to win in 22.82. The margin was a length and the time was very good considering the race was a maiden. Bundegi did nothing wrong and clocked a PB, but was simply beaten by a better dog on the night.

HOUNDS TO FOLLOW :

Race 2 Number 3 WEST ON ATLAS : Stormed home to dead-heat for second.

Race 3 Number 5 CASINO TUX : Mustered brilliantly to find the lead and then win by four lengths.
