“West On Archer chalks up his twentieth victory”

Honest wide tracker West On Archer swept to a strong victory in tonight’s opening event over 302m. Wide runners are often suited to the 302m at Mandurah and West On Archer is a prime example having won 16 of 69 over the distance. He didn’t begin well this afternoon but veered deep on the track and when there was interference at the front of the field he zoomed around them and proved too strong, running away to win by a full length on the line. The Ricky Valenti trained Nadia Bale ran second and six lengths away in third position was the Brad Cook trained Maree Keeping. West On Archer took his career earnings over $30,000 and overall he has now won 20 of 96 lifetime starts.

Race 5 Number 7 HARPER’S HERO : Stormed home for second in the 405m FFA.

Race 6 Number 7 WINGING IT : Flew home along the rail to win The Sandgroper Final over 490m in 27.57.
