20210818 – Cannington Wednesday

SEEN THE ODDS (Fabregas- Defy All Odds) ended a losing sequence of 39 starts when she recorded her second career win with a head victory over Not Quite Orson in 16.53. The Jen Thompson trained bitch jumped better from her outside draw and with clear running proved too good for her rivals.

SHADOW ACE (Dyna Double One- Ritza Rita) was able to hold out Incredible Wilma after bumping together on the home corner before scoring by a head in a PB 22.28. The former Victorian chaser, now in the care of Kody Charles, was having just his third start in WA.

RIPPIN’ TOMAHAWK (Aston Dee Bee- Juniper Twedo) showed speed from his inside draw and was too classy for his rivals drawing away to win his Maiden by 4 1/2 lengths in a PB 30.26. The Shayne Williams trained youngster doesn’t turn two years of age until December and was having just his third career outing.

RIPPIN’ SHEEN (Aston Dee Bee- Juniper Twedo) followed on from his litter brother in the previous race to score a 4 1/2 length Maiden win over Horton Monelli in 30.16. The well bred youngster was having his fourth start, having been placed once prior. GRANITE SONG, for trainer John Carmody, gave the litter a winning treble in consecutive races.
