“Coldstream wins the first with Double Humphrey”

Dyna Double One youngster Double Humphrey stuck severe interference at his race debut back on June 22. He was stood down for racing for ten days by the on-course vet on that occasion and resumed tonight over 302m. From box one he drove through to lead his rivals before posting a smart 17.29 for Ravenswood trainer Derek Coldstream. The Enzo Crudeli prepared Lance Sunrise finished strongly to be the runner up and third was the Brad Cook trained Black Dotty. Double Humphrey is owned by Murray Hamilton and is out of former handy race bitch Lee’s Maggie. She was trained by Corey White and finished racing with 12 wins and 13 placings from 41 career starts including some very handy times at the Mandurah track. Later in the night Coldstream’s only other runner Turbo Charger won over 405m in a smart 23.04.
