20201224 – Mandurah Thursday

“Rashford surpasses $30,000 in earnings for Beamish”

Mandurah track specialist Rashford chalked up his eleventh win at the venue tonight when he overcame box eight to win over 490m in 28.02. The son of Banjo Boy began cleanly from the wide draw before out-pacing his rivals and taking the lead after 100m. He sailed away from Virginia Gundi and Burn Out Boy to score by 2.25 lengths in the smart time of 28.02. Only two of Rashford’s thirteen career victories have resulted at other tracks and he has now started 39 times over 490m for 11 wins and 8 minor placings. The $1,265 winner’s cheque also took his career earnings over $30,000 for owner Mick Durkin.
