“Planet Ox explodes away to win Maiden Final”

Paul Stuart looks to have found himself a serious speedster in the form of Planet Ox. The youngster turns two in January and back on October 20 recorded a mighty time of 22.58 in a Qualifying Trial. He debuted with an unlucky second behind Dandalup Lizzy before winning his maiden heat in 22.67. Tonight he was well backed into $1.40 fixed odds and despite leaving the boxes only moderately, recovered with brilliance to surge away and win by five lengths. The 36kg black dog posted a mighty 22.45 over Sunset Wildfire and Fawn Roller. He is raced by Mick Campo and looks set to win a heap of races.
