20200806 – Mandurah Thursday

“Tap Out Gough rails to his first Mandurah victory”

Noted railer Tap Out Gough made full use of box one in tonight’s Sign Strategy Novice over 405m.

The son of Fernando Bale didn’t begin well but had plenty of recovery room near the fence to drive through and take the lead before leaving the back straight.

The Brad Cook trained chaser was always in control after finding the lead and posted a comfortable three length win in 23.11.

The Jen Thompson trained Francium ran on nicely for second ahead of the Justin Wood prepared Princetown Boy.

Tap Out Gough has now started 26 times for 3 wins and 11 minor placings and the win gave Brad Cook his 102nd victory of the calendar year as a trainer.

HOUNDS TO FOLLOW :

Race 1 Number 2 MATSUMI : Won nicely on debut in a smart 17.25 after leaving the boxes only moderately.

Race 2 Number 5 CRANKY DAVE : Began like a cannonball before winning by eight lengths.
