“Devine Tilly pulls off a major boilover at Mandurah”
Handy pint-sized sprinter Devine Tilly made every post a winner in tonight’s Essential Refrigeration Services Grade 5 over 405m. The three and a half year old 26kg bitch rocketed out of box five and set up a five length lead over race favourite Buck Monelli. At the half way mark Buck Monelli when making his move tangled with another runner, losing momentum in the process which allowed Devine Tilly to pinch a buffer. Buck Monelli at the short odds of $1.50 flew late but was beaten a length, giving favourite backers a ‘teasing’ watch. Supporters of Devine Tilly would have been thrilled given her juicy starting price of $51.00 with the WA TAB. The daughter of NSW based sire Oaks Road has now won 13 of 83 career starts and over $27,000 in stake earnings. Later in the night David Hobby won yet another feature event, taking out the 2020 Dawesville Cup with Sunset Milo.
