20200131 – Mandurah Friday

“Blue Glitter builds on excellent Mandurah record”
Former Victorian speedster Blue Glitter chalked up her sixth Mandurah triumph and her twelfth overall in tonight’s Track Fashion Mixed 4/5 over 405m. Trained by Pete Brown out of Canning Vale, the 29kg black bitch overcame a tardy getaway by her standards to prevail by two lengths. She tucked into fourth position on the fence at the first turn before hooking four wide and zooming around her rivals to take the lead just prior to straightening. The Wundowie trained Our Adventure gave pursuit but was unable to make ground on Blue Glitter who posted a smart time of 22.93 given that she had to overtake other runners in transit. Late last year she recorded a mighty 22.78 from box six when she took out the Express Stake Final and earned her connections some silverware. She is raced by the Clint Arthur managed Roller Coast Racing Syndicate and at only two and a half years of age looks set for many more victories.
