“Kingsbrae Tina relishes stormy conditions to win for Darren Rowe”
Greyhounds in tonight’s first event, the Free Entry TABtouch Park Novice competed in very stormy conditions. The race was contested over 302m and there was a very strong tailwind in the front straight. Former South Australian One Last Hurrah was sent out as an odds on favourite but after a tardy getaway was never a winning chance. Former outer NSW sprinter Kingsbrae Tina mustered quickly from box three to find the front before surging away to score by five lengths. Peppa Twedo ran second for Lexia Isaac and two lengths away third was Dandalup Titan. Kingsbrae Tina raced at Casino, Lismore, Kempsey and Taree before heading west and has now started 7 times for 2 wins and 3 minor placings. The weather was so severe that the timing mechanism failed to work so no official time was taken.
Race 3 Number 3 WESTWORTH : Missed the kick badly before flying home to win by a nose.
Race 4 Number 1 PROPER CHARLIE : Struck mid race trouble before finishing powerfully for fourth.
