20190627 – Mandurah Thursday

“Irinka Moonyeen leads throughout for Price”

Honest speedster Irinka Moonyeen made every post a winner in tonight’s second event, the $29 Thursday Buffet Grade 6 over 302m. The Glen Price prepared chaser began like a bullet from box 3 and never looked like being headed, finding the line with half a length to spare. She clocked 17.68 and defeated Precious Metal who was first up from the eastern states. Precious Metal began her career in Townsville before having stints in the ACT, NSW and more recently Victoria. Veteran Montoey Miss finished third for Shane Beard and the placing took her career statistics to 136 starts for 14 wins and 45 minor placings. Irinka Moonyeen has now 7 of 49 career starts and 5 of those have occurred over the 302m journey.

Race 3 Number 5 GO GO DANCER : Had no luck and looked to have momentum up before running into bother.

Race 4 Number 6 BLACK MOSEL : Caught the eye with a fast finishing fourth.
