20171213 – Cannington Wednesday

NICE GARRY (Barcia Bale- Tearsabout Tears) has become a favourite of cricket followers who love Australian spinner Nathan Lyon. The Blue dog named after Lyon was able to cross from box 8 before racing clear to win by 6 1/4 lengths for trainer Enzo Crudeli. He has become a social media favourite as well after his recent win at Cannington went viral on line.

FUNDAMENTAL (Fernando Bale- Forty Two Below) was able to work to the front going into the backs straight before scoring by 2 1/4 lengths over Bushman’s Sunset in 30.44. The Steve Withers trained bitch has just turned two years of age and had been placed at 3 of her 6 prior starts.

MAGIC MONELLI (Magic Sprite- Dyna Sandy) recorded his Maiden win when he raced away for a smart win over Bush Bandicoot in 30.58. The David Hobby trained youngster, who turns two years of age in March, was very mature as he waited for a run from behind the leader to appear before switching off heals and going on to score.


20171206 – Cannington Wednesday

“Dungeon Master takes no prisoners for Beverly trainer May Leach”

Beverly trainer May Leach produced a wonderful training performance tonight when Dungeon Master improved sharply from box seven to win the Box 1 Restaurant Novice over 380m. Race favourites Wicked Desire (box 2) and Faded (box 8) both hesitated at box rise while Dungeon Master began cleanly and swept to the lead in the back straight. The son of Mogambo erupted six lengths clear and was never in any doubt, officially scoring by five lengths in a smart 22.09. It was a sharp improvement on previous efforts when unplaced at his six most recent runs. Dungeon Master has now won 2 of 13 and the time suggests there will be many more to come.


Race 3 Number 2 MAGIC MONELLI : Is a well bred type who rattled home late, will break through soon.

Race 5 Number 4 AEROPLANE TIPPA : Coursed wide at his first Cannington start but flashed home to win very impressively.

20171129 – Cannington Wednesday

SIEBEN MONELLI (Fernando Bale- Sharon Monelli) was able to miss the trouble on the first corner and rail through to lead into the back straight. The David Hobby trained youngster then went on to win by 5 1/4 lengths in 30.65. The red fawn dog had finished third on debut behind kennel mate Winifred Monelli the week before.

BROOKSY MONELLI (Fernando Bale- Sharon Monelli) gave trainer a race to race double getting over the top of the leader Ookinaki Flyer in the straight to win by a neck in 30.48. The fawn dog did well to get past the leader who took his ground when swinging for home. He won at his second career start after finishing second on debut behind Tattooed Warrior.

PINNY MACK (Cosmic Rumble- Flying Sienna) scored a smart win on resuming from injury defeating Deerview Storm by 1 3/4 lengths in 30.08. The Corey White trained dog had to with stand a bump early from the crossing Stinky Pete, however kept his feet and was to smart for his rivals.

20171115 – Cannington Wednesday

LEISEL  MONELLI (Fernando Bale- Sharon Monelli) showed speed from box 2 and defeated Tattooed Warrior by 5 lengths in 29.82. The David Hobby trained bitch was a beaten favourite on debut the week before behind Placement.

ZOE THE PEST (Turanza Bale- Sweet It Is) enjoyed some racing luck to record her maiden victory when the leading four runners ran off on the home corner. The Paul Stuart trained bitch won by 1 3/4 lengths from Winifred Monelli in 30.74.

CZARNY (Cosmic Rumble- Manyana Pearl) was able to work to the lead past the judge the first time and then lead throughout to record his first win in WA in 29.96. The John Carmody trained former Victorian, has now won 5 times from 19 career starts and was having just his third start in WA.



20171108 – Cannington Wednesday

DANDALUP DASHER (Shakey Jakey- Rerod Rose) finally broke his Maiden status with an all the way win at his 10th race start. Having led and then being run down when placed at his first 9 starts, the Terry Erenshaw trained dog scored by a length over Petria Monelli and Tattooed Warrior in 30.38.

PLACEMENT (Fernando Bale- Forty Two Below) showed speed from his middle draw and led throughout to record his Maiden victory in a PB 30.23. The Steve Withers trained dog had been placed at 6 of 8 prior runs and held off the race favourite Leisel Monelli by 3/4 length.

AZALEA MONELLI (Fabregas- Jackie Bale) was able to kick through from the inside draw and hold the lead before racing clear to win by 9 lengths in a PB 30.19. The David Hobby trained youngster turns two years of age in February and has now won twice from 4 starts.
