20190807 – Mandurah Wednesday

“One Last Hurrah leads throughout for Cook”
Former SA speedster One Last Hurrah broke her maiden status tonight for Brad Cook, overcoming box 8 and scoring by two lengths. The 29kg daughter of QLD sire Glen Gallon sizzled across from her outside draw before posting a smart 17.36 over the 302m distance. She had been a minor placegetter at 5 of her previous 10 starts and had shown plenty of early zip in her races in South Australia. The Jackie Wilson prepared Miss Conduct worked home stylishly for second ahead of All About Paige who finished in third position. One Last Hurrah has now had 11 starts and at the first turn has been the leader on 8 of those occasions. Tonight’s first section of 6.77 from the pink box suggests she is going to continue to set the pace in most of her races.
HOUNDS TO FOLLOW :
Race 1 Number 7 MISS CONDUCT : Ran on strongly late and might prefer 380m/405m.
Race 2 Number 8 TRACK QUEEN : Looked unlucky again and is ready to win.
