20180731 – Mandurah Tuesday

“Grandchester wins again for Lake Clifton trainer John Cole”

Mandurah specialist Grandchester has relished the return to Mandurah winning both starts over the 405m distance. The son of Dyna Villa failed to flatter at his three Cannington appearances while the track enhancements were taking place at Mandurah. Last week he resumed with an all the way win in 22.95 and tonight he repeated the dose, saluting in 23.08 after another brilliant getaway. Trained by John Cole in Lake Clifton, the 32kg black dog has now started 6 times at the Mandurah track for 3 wins and 3 minor placings. Outsider Oldmate Marley ran a cheeky second for Pete Brown and was beaten just over a length. The Ben MacLean prepared Hello I’m Biggie filled third position and was another two lengths astern.
