“Running For Two continues wonderful 275m form for Noden”

Sprinting sensation Running for Two racked up his eighteenth career victory tonight when he won the TABtouch Free For All (275m) by half a length. The speedy field jumped in unison but Running For Two hit the first turn with superior momentum and was able to take the lead. Lord Reddan hugged the fence from box one and was able to zoom through to give pursuit. Turning for home Running For Two wobbled a touch wide allowing Lord Reddan to challenge but Running For Two maintained an advantage and chalked up his fifth win from his last six starts. Outsider Billy Brass finished two lengths away in third position for Darren Rowe and is a dog to follow.

“Westdale Prince wins maiden final for Andrew McLaren”

Nambeelup trainer Andrew McLaren took out tonight’s Get The TABtouch Maiden Final from box five in what turned out to be a messy race. The son of Kinloch Brae exploded out of the boxes to lead and as he found the fence he squeezed up opponents as they entered the back straight. Westdale Prince was left six lengths in front of his closest pursuers Cosmic Ox and Sudoku Warrior. That pair collided and Bashful Zoey copped the backwash which caused her to take a harmless fall. Westdale Prince made every post a winner and while the others all met with interference Westdale Prince’s winning time was an impressive 21.94. Cosmic Ox regrouped and ran on strongly to be beaten four lengths in second position and the Port Kennedy based Zipping Milly finished strongly for third. Westdale Prince is raced by Jai Jormanainen-Davis and has won 2 of 2 career starts for Nambeelup trainer Andrew McLaren. He has just turned two years of age and looks set to win a stack of races with his early speed clearly a huge asset.

HOUNDS TO FOLLOW :

Race 1 Number 7 ANYONE’S GUESS : Rocketed home to break his maiden status in 30.59 and looks to have staying potential.

Race 2 Number 5 ELEGANT CRISP : Came from last at the first turn to almost steal third over 380m.
