20190821 – Cannington Wednesday

LEO THE GOOSE (Collision- Unique Josaphine) was able to cross from box 8 and once finding the top, drew away from High Heaven who was checked early, before scoring by 1 1/2 lengths in 22.44. The Eric Campana trained dog had finished in the placings at 2 of his past 3 starts.

FLYING RYAN (David Bale- Tearsabout Tears) ran home strongly to claim the leader Tommy Turbo before the line and win by 3/4 length in 22.42. The Enzo Crudeli trained dog recorded his second career victory both over the 380 metres.

TWICE AS WICKED (Dyna Villa- Passionate Eyes) kicked up from box 1 and led throughout over the 380 metres giving returning trainer Jodie Reichard her first at the new Cannington. The black bitch had been placed at 3 of 4 starts over the 380 metres before tonight’s break through victory.

Several Nationals greyhounds had a look at the Cannington track tonight.

20190817 – Cannington Saturday

Tornado Tears and Miss Gingin trialed over 600 metres and Opawa Hilary over the 520 metres in preparation  for the All New SEN National Distance Final next Saturday night. Tornado Tears clocked a time of 34.46, which is .03 of a second under the current track record while Miss Gingin stopped the clock at 34.74. Opawa Hilary clocked 30.44 over the 520 metres while Queensland sprinter Silver Stunner stopped the clock at 29.93.

BOOM DOWN (Magic Sprite- Lochinvar Vogue) recorded his 5th consecutive win with a demolition of his rivals. The Enzo Crudeli trained chaser defeated Back On Lava by 5 lengths in 41.90. Former Gr 1 Galaxy winner Rippin’ Sam, now in the care of Shayne Williams, made up ground  after being tailed off last to finish a distant third.  Pictured : Boom Down

WEST ON FLEUR (Barcia Bale- Zelemar Fever) returned to the winners list after almost 12 months on the sidelines with a 3 length win over Chomp Monelli in a PB 30.03. The Chris Halse trained bitch was injured in October last year and was having just her second start back on the track. The black bitch has now won 3 times from 11 career starts.

CAMPINI (KC And All- Fantastic Dotty) began moderately and then had to overcome some bumping on the first corner before finding the fence into the back straight. The Paul Stuart trained chaser then drove up along the fence before going on to win by 4 lengths in a slick 29.67. The white and black dog is first reserve for the Crocmedia National Sprint final this Saturday night.

20190814 – Cannington Wednesday

FLAKE MONELLI (Fernando Bale- Dyna Sandy) was able to rail through from her inside draw and hold the lead going into the first corner. The David Hobby trained bitch then was able to hold off the challenges and score by 1 3/4 lengths over Romario in 29.91. The win the black bitches 6th in just 9 career starts.

ROLO MONELLI (Fernando Bale- Dyna Sandy) then recorded his Maiden victory with a dominant 4 length win over Deluxe Model in 30.01. The win giving trainer David Hobby a race to race double.

DANICA KEEPING (Barcia Bale- Becky Keeping) jumped well from box 4 and was able to hold out the late challenge by High Distortion, scoring by a head in 21.88. The blue bitch was having her first start over the distance for trainer Shayne Williams.
