20210726 – Cannington Monday

WHAT THE HECTON (Hecton Bale- Dubliner) caused an upset win when he missed all the trouble and chased home the best to win his Maiden by a nose over Moment To Mamba in 16.92. The Brad Cook trained youngster was placed on debut for Cook when transferred into his care earlier this month.

SIMPLY QUICK (Big Daddy Cool- Quick To Go) led from box 1 and recorded his first win this year for trainer Trudi Mitchem. The North Baandee trained bitch was injured back in January and has done well to return to the track. The black bitch won by 3/4 length over Astrolithology in 16.42.

DIAMOND MAC (Rippin’ Sam- Illusive Dreama) led from box 1 and recorded her first win at Cannington with a 1 1/2 length victory over Raven Loon in 16.11. The Kylie McLennan trained bitch has been finding all sorts of trouble in her races since she won 8 starts prior.

20210724 – Cannington Saturday

PANADERO OPAL (Collision- Go Go Treatment) was most impressive in recording her Maiden victory after showing speed from box 4. The Adam Smithson youngster, who doesn’t turn two years of age until December, raced clear of her rivals defeating West On Cobra by 7 1/4 lengths in 29.79.

ZIPPING JADE (Barcia Bale- Zipping Tess) jumped well from her outside draw and raced clear of her rivals in the home straight to win by 5 1/4 lengths over Bushman’s Poppy in 21.87. The Kody Charles trained bitch recently won over the 275 metres in 16.05 and has won 2 of her past 3 starts.

SERONG (Fernando Bale- Starlight Shine) worked past the leader Big If going along the back straight before powering away to win by 4 1/4 lengths in 29.75. The Paul Stuart trained youngster bounced back from an unlucky second the previous week and has now won 5 times from 12 career starts.

STOUT MONELLI (Barcia Bale- Corona Monelli) bounced back into the winners circle with an all the win over Rapido Lass, turning the tables from the previous week. The David Hobby trained dog ran a PB on the arm defeating Rapido Lass by 2 1/2 lengths in 34.60. The black dog has now won 3 times from 4 starts over the 600 metres.

20210721 – Cannington Wednesday – Kanyana Trophy

SONOVA GUNN (Fernando Bale- Nanza Gunn) ran home strongly to claim the leader Makuru coming into the home straight and scoring his Maiden win. The Greg Horne trained youngster had been placed 3 times from 6 career starts before defeating Ace Nova by 3 lengths in 30.46.

ZEAK (Vanderworp- Legit Boss) showed speed from box 3, clocking a 5.39 first split, before holding off Chestnut Monelli to win by a half length in a PB 29.84. The Margaret Hepple trained dog has now won twice from 13 starts.

KAPITO (Vanderworp- Legit Boss) led throughout from box 4 at his return from injury. The Margaret Hepple trained youngster clocked a PB 29.69 as he defeated West On Atlas by 10 1/2 lengths. The black dog has now won twice from 3 career starts and has a bright future.

20210719 – Cannington Monday

NOT QUITE ORSON (Orson Allen- She’s Majestic) had struggled in his first 6 race starts, however dropping back to the 275 metres the big black and white powered to the line to nail the leader Ruthless Ruth by a head on the line in 16.40. The Enzo Crudeli trained dog had recently been injured in his race and was returning to peak form.

EXPRESS MALT (Paw Licking- It Gets Better) jumped well and then held off La Gypsy Belle in the run to the wire scoring by a head in 16.11. The Victoria Cook trained bitch has now won twice from her past 4 starts while also being placed another 5 times from her past 7 starts.

JOBAN (Banjo Boy- Ronray Flyer) ended a losing sequence of 11 starts when she overcame her wide draw to score a nose win over Aston Casino in 16.47. The Brad Cook trained bitch has now won 3 times and has been placed twice from 6 starts out of box 8.
