Talented up and coming chaser Skipper’s Ticket accounted for a small but handy field tonight over 600m in the Box 1 Restaurant Grade 5. Starlight Asha (box 8) and Miss America (box 1) both sped out of their alleys and after fifty metres race favourite Skipper’s Ticket found himself in between them. As the trio entered the front straight Miss America accelerated clear which allowed Skipper’s Ticket to duck down to the fence. At half way Skipper’s Ticket wrestled the lead off Miss America and shot away, eventually winning by a comfortable six lengths. Miss America held down second ahead of Jazz Get On who ran on strongly.
