Southern River
Greyhounds WA has become a signatory to the Lease of the Southern River Straight Track. The facility will be available to owners and trainers from Monday 17 March 2008. Operating times are strictly Monday to Friday 6am to 11am. Weekends 6am to 9am.
Use of the facility is FREE, however Greyhounds WA ask that all users are mindful of their obligations to keep the track and surrounds clean and tidy. Any failure to do so, abuse of any kind, or use of the facility outside designated times will see the offenders denied access. Barry McPherson has kindly offered his services to maintain the track on a voluntary basis and Barry will also maintain the key register.
Greyhounds WA is very pleased to regain this valuable training facility and ask the industry’s co-operation to ensure its on-going viability and success. I thank everyone for their patience in this matter.
David Simonette, Greyhounds WA CEO
