'From Conception to the Racetrack' Seminar Series.
On Sunday 17/04/2011, WAGBOTA hosted a series of presentations in the Club Lounge at Greyhounds WA Cannington. The seminar tracked the sport of greyhound racing from conception to the racetrack, and numerous presentations were given by acknowledged experts in their respective fields.

Videos of the seminar can be purchased at a cost of $20 for the 2xDVD set. Altermatively, WAGBOTA members and industry participants can access the videos for free by filling out the form above. (Please allow 48 hours for activation. You will receive an email with login details).

BREEDING - Paul Wheeler.
WAGBOTA is pleased to present Paul Wheeler, Australia’s most successful breeder.

CONCEPTION, PERGNANCY AND WHELPING - Dr John Katakasi, BVSc (Hons) CVA CVHCM.
John Katakasi (Adelaide Plains Veterinary Surgery / Australian Director, Camelot Farms) provides an overview of the different methods of conception and the statistics of success. Includes natural & surgical insemination, fresh & frozen semen, natural whelping & caesarian section, greyhound nutrition and more.

REARING - Peter Davis, Regional Racing Editor, Fairfax Media.
Peter speaks of his experiences in whelping a litter and preparing puppies for rearing. Includes an overview of Martin Hallinan’s purpose-built property in New South Wales.

BREAKING IN - Dave Knocker.
David has had many years experience in breaking in pups so that they are ready for racing. Here he outlines his methods in a short Question and Answer session.

INJURIES AND THEIR TREATMENT - Chris Doyle, Course Vet Angle Park, Greyhound Racing SA, President Australian Greyhound Racing Veterinarians.
A session giving an overview of common injuries and ways to avoid them, including simple treatments that are neither expensive or time consuming. Essential to the continued well-being of your greyhound.

PAPERWORK - Denis Borovica Manager Licensing / Registration & Stewards Administration, RWWA.
The dreaded paperwork! From naming your greyhound to registration of stud service, Denis provides owners / trainers with an overview of the necessary details that are required by all controlling authorities. Includes microchip paperwork that is soon to be implemented.
