“Warringa clocks 16.98 for Cook”

Canning Vale trainer Brad Cook has put the polish on many FFA speedsters in the past and it appears he has another in his kennel destined for top grade domination. Warringa scored tonight by five lengths out of box two after out-mustering a handy lineup and then surging clear to post a brilliant 16.98. The current track record is held by Quedos who posted 16.75 back in May 2016. Warringa has now won 9 of 14 career starts and will turn two years of age in May so with natural improvement is likely to give that record a shake at some point. The 29kg son of Paw Licking is owned by Teegan Stewart and looks set to win a stack of races in the future. Cook’s best sprinters from years gone by include Ledaro Holly, Halcyon Honey, Moe’s Magic, Miss Ramjet, Final High, Ledaro Splash, Hard Hat Mick, Oxforn Assassin and Defector.

Race 3 Number 2 ROOKIE : Put it all together tonight, leading all the way in 23.26.

Race 4 Number 4 SPECIAL HODGE : Showed awesome mid race speed to hit the front before being overhauled late in a good time.
