“Go Pro relishes the switch to Mandurah”
Highly promising sprinter Go Pro made his Mandurah debut this afternoon and couldn’t have been more impressive. The son of Lonesome Cry had impressed at Cannington over 520m, leading in most of his races and making the podium. His 27 career starts before today’s race yielded just 2 victories but another 15 minor placings. Trained out of Banjup by Cosi Dagostino the 31kg brindle dog was always going to have admirers once he dropped in class and distance. Sent out at a firming $1.75, from box two he began cleanly before out-mustering his rivals and finding an easy lead. From that point he was never going to lose and cruised to an easy win in 22.91 over Hello I’m Rongo and Westdale Bandit. Westdale Bandit who had impressed at his previous run when victorious in 22.66, missed the kick before doing a great job to salvage third position. Go Pro is owned by Sharon Wells and despite only having won 3 races has earned over $25,000 thanks mainly to all of his City Class minor place stake money.
