“Nomadic hugs the fence to lead all the way for Jackie Wilson”

Forrestdale based greyhound trainer Jackie Wilson produced an impressive victory tonight when 30kg red fawn dog Nomadic led throughout over 405m. The son of Kiowa Mon Manny bounced out of the red box to assume the role of pace-maker. Race favourite Ookinaki Flyer began moderately and at the first turnĀ settled fourth and wide. Nomadic hugged the rail and straightened with a length lead while Goodbye and Ookinaki Flyer gave pursuit. Nomadic held off the challenges to score by a length in a handy 23.02 over Ookinaki Flyer and another two lengths away third was the fading Goodbye. Nomadic has now won 11 of 42 and has been placed on another 14 occasions. He is owned by Gary Nelson and has earned over $20,000 in stakes. Whilst Ookinaki Flyer could only manage second she took her career statistics to an impressive 39 starts for 6 wins, 9 second and 12 thirds.
