“Will Keeping makes brilliant race return after long spell”
Highly talented sprinter Will Keeping made an impressive race return in tonight’s Box 1 Restaurant Grade 4 over 380m following an injury enforced layoff. The Terry Erenshaw prepared chaser hadn’t raced since mid November and produced a stunning box exit which saw him take an uncontested lead at the first turn. Bill’s Desire, Betty Gundi and Eiger Monelli gave pursuit and although Eiger Monelli finished like a train Will Keeping held on to win by a length. Outsider Betty Gundi finished third (at $6.40 a place) ahead of the fading Bill’s Desire. Will Keeping dominated Mandurah races over 490m when last in work and has now won 12 of his 44 career starts. In other news WA sprinter Vanderworp took out the Group 2 $47,000 to the winner Bendigo Cup over 425m, clocking a flying 23.61.
HOUNDS TO FOLLOW :

Race 3 Number 5 EIGER MONELLI : Made up many lengths on some smart types to finish second and will be very hard to beat next start.
