“Trickster Lumik surges home to win Masters Event”

Evergreen chaser Trickster Lumik had her 146th career start tonight for connections John Iwanyk and Luke Garbutt in the Mandurah Stockfeeds Masters Grade 5 over 405m at TABtouch Park Mandurah. Fresh after being pipped on the post three nights earlier at Cannington over 380m, the rising six year old began cleanly and at half way found herself in second position and a few lengths behind pace-maker Collision Bolt. The Derek Coldstream trained Collision Bolt had flown out of box six but as she approached the home turn Trickster Lumik looked to be closing rapidly. As the pair straightened there was ample room for Trickster Lumik to burst through on the rail and win by a length over a gallant Collision Bolt. Three lengths away in third position was the Shane Beard prepared Topline Khaleesi. Trickster Lumik posted a smart 23.10 over the 405m distance and has now started 146 times for 14 victories, 30 seconds, 22 thirds and more than $58,000 in stake earnings.

Race 1 Number 4 CLOSE SCRUTINY : The Quairiding trained maiden improved sharply at massive odds, leading and running 2nd in 23.30 and returning a gigantic $35.40 for a place.

Race 6 Number 6 FINN’S ENTITY : Found bother but kept coming, finishing a nice third under difficult circumstances.
