“Found A Diamond shoots a 22.36”

Paul Stuart looks to have another exciting young prospect on his hands, a 35kg son of Turanza Bale out of champion race bitch Miata. Found A Diamond started a $1.20 favourite tonight and at just his third start produced one of the most breath-taking performances you’re likely to see. Up against a decent Novice field over 405m, from box one he missed the kick and after 50m was a few lengths from the leader Tango Dancer. By half way Found A Diamond had recovered in spectacular fashion to take the lead. He roared clear in the front straight and scored by seven lengths in a sizzling 22.36. That time is less than three lengths outside of the current track record held by Quartz Bale (22.22).

HOUNDS TO FOLLOW :

Trial 1 Number 1 TIM’S TICKET : Began like a cannonball and did everything right, clocking 23.38 in wet conditions.

Race 6 Number 8 COSMIC EVOLUTION : Flew out and made every post a winner, defeating a quality field in 22.82.
